A program of:

The Handcrafted Artisan Revitalization Program was created by local Artist Andrew Montrie. Andrew's efforts to create effective programing for artists began in 2009 when he started the Asheville Art in the Park market. Still a continuing success, artists at the market have created more then $200,000 in sales. The market is held 3 Saturdays in June and 3 Saturdays in October each year.
Now focused on the HARP, Andrew devotes his time to consulting with artists and creating new opportunities for artists to create income. The HARP's main goal is the creation of sales opportunities for local artists and is currently implementing valuable programming that helps artists create much needed income. If you have an arts based business, please consider joining the HARP or ask us how you can help local artists directly.
Artists bring with them creativity and revitalization that can transform not only our hearts and minds but also physical locations. Arts 2 People’s Lexington Avenue Arts and Fun Festival had just that in mind when it started the event over ten years ago on a semi abandoned street. Now Lexington Avenue has been transformed by this creative culture into a haven for the alternative arts. This avenue relays regular traffic to its retail locations that was absent 10 years ago.
It is Arts 2 People’s intention to continue to offer access to the transformational powers of art.
Thanks for taking the time to find out more about the HARP and invest in the artistic future of Asheville.
